- Keep bigs in rebounding position
- Easier to protect the lane and rim
- The only way a good zone gets beat is by the jump shot
- Pick and roll is very hard against a zone

Troy Culley: NAU Coaches Clinic 2012
Coach Troy Culley shares a great resource from the 2012 NAU Coaches Clinic. Included in the notes is a section from Mike Dunlap on his 1-1-3 match-up zone defense.
